About Sr. Secondary Program

The Senior Secondary Level (Class XII) program at Punjab State Open School is designed for students who have completed their Secondary (Class X) education and wish to pursue higher secondary education through Open & Distance Learning mode under PSEB. This program is equivalent to Class 12th of any recognized state or national board.

Note: Students must select minimum 5 subjects including at least one language subject. Cross-stream combinations allowed. Maximum 7 subjects permitted.

Examination Pattern

Examinations are conducted twice a year. Students can appear for exams on an On-Demand basis after completing the minimum study period. Each subject carries 100 marks with theory (80/70 marks) and practical/TMA (20/30 marks) components where applicable.

Passing Criteria: Minimum 33% marks required in each subject (both theory and practical separately where applicable). Students who fail in one or two subjects can appear for improvement exams.
